Lindsey has her hands full. As a mother of three girlies (two biological darlings and one sweetie adopted from Ethiopia, all doubling as super models), a foster parent to several more, and keeper of a bunch of creatures on their hobby farm, she still manages to run a small business, Polka Dot Pearl, which she just opened at the beginning of 2013.
You may notice it’s been quite a success already. Every Tuesday night, she posts new things on her Facebook page and the comments start rolling in with who wants what size. Whatever’s left gets added to the website the next day.
Working with several women across the world who help her find the perfect pieces to carry, Lindsey always look for clothing that is different than what you can find in other stores, things that will make little girls want to dance and twirl. She loves fun colors, ruffles, lace, outfits with extra cute details, etc. Through Polka Dot Pearl, she wants little girls to be able to be able to wear clothes they feel good in and express who they are.
With an adopted daughter and a heart for serving through foster care, Lindsey was thrilled to partner with The Sparrow Fund this month along with 50+ businesses to give 10% of their total sales this May to support adoptive families. And, this week, Lindsey is giving away something super twirly here so that we can drive some traffic over here and raise awareness of the Build the Nest fundraiser going on this month to benefit The Sparrow Fund’s work to support adoptive families.
So, go ahead and enter to win a twirly dress in pink or blue. And, go check out all the partners’ sites. (If you leave a comment naming just one thing you have ordered/purchased from one of them this month, you get an extra 10 entries for any of the giveaways going on right now…and there are quite a few!)
