This has been the summer of museums! On July 23rd, 2008, we visted the helicopter museum in West Chester with the Hopples. Jeffrey and Evan loved running around and pretending to be pilots carrying army guys around. Ashlyn loved it too, so much so that she cried when we left for lunch. There’s a show there in October that has some sort of parachuting guys involved. Sounds like that might be one we should put on the calendar.
ashlyn’s special prayer for me
I’ve been struggling with hoarseness. It’s really been a problem for several months now. My ENT hasn’t really been able to solve it thus far. I had allergy testing done on Friday to see if that could be aggravating it. The only positive I got was to “mixed feathers” which sort of stumped me and frustrated me. I was really hoping that was the problem and that some zyrtec or something would solve it. I asked Ashlyn to pray for me and this is what she said (as close to verbatim as I can get):
“Dear God, thank you for Mama’s throat it feel better. Thank you for her not see any feathers today. Thank you for her wash her pillows that’s why no feathers come out. Thank you for her not see any birds today–like parrots. Thank you for her take a lot a lot of medicine everyday and it feel better. Amen.”
lightening bugs
I really need to start carrying a bug catcher around with me. Last night at the Creamery, Evan, Ashlyn, and friends Jeffrey and Micah had to use my baby wipes container to catch a dozen lightening bugs. It took some effort to get them all safely out of there and into a legitimate bug habitat at home.
