Christmas is over. We took our tree down today and put away all the decos. Sorta sad to see them all gone. But, it’s a new year and we are starting afresh which is a good feeling. I wanted to post a few of my favorite Christmas pictures before I move full throttle into January. My most favorite is the one of Ashlyn–it was actually taken Christmas Eve when I snuck into her room to see if she was really nestled in fast asleep. When I did, I saw that her bedroom decos had fallen down around her–totally not safe, but so darn cute. So, I took a picture and then promptly saved her. The one of Evan reading is book is cute too–he so enjoyed each gift and wanted to savor each one before opening another. And, Drew…what can I say? He got pirate gear and loved each piece including a clip on earring. He sliced every one at least a few times with his sword…including a sleeping baby (he did it extra gently to baby Audrey) and my great aunt (not a good scene…she didn’t appreciate his drama at all…what a grinch!). Anyway, enjoy the snapshots and here’s to new beginnings in 2009!

These are adorable. Isn’t Christmas just all the more amazing with kids?! I enjoyed this one more than any in the past I can remember. So sorry about Mark’s Grandma – always hard, but especially at this time of year. She sounds like a very dear woman. I pray that even through her loss, people were able to be drawn closer to Christ. Miss you, Kelly!

That picture of Ashlyn sleeping with the Christmas lights around her is priceless. I showed Kaitlyn and she wants to hang Christmas lights in her room next year.
