Ashlyn begged to have this up for her birthday tomorrow. She wants to show her friends where Lydia will be sleeping. So darn cute. She even put Lydia’s Chinese baby doll (thank you, Lisa!) in there to “try it out.” And, gotta give Mark kudos on putting this thing together…again.

I can’t tell you what it means to see that little doll I gave you so long ago, and so early in our journey. It reminds me that dreams take a long time sometimes, but if you never give up they do come true, in ways beyond our imagination.

It’s me again–I meant to say–I remember how getting that crib set-up was such a big milestone–it was the first real sign of her in our lives and it felt so very good indeed. It must feel sooo real…it won’t be long now and you’ll be off to China to meet her and bring her home and snuggle her in forever.

Just last night, Sawyer said, I really want a brother NOW. I want someone to sleep in my room with me. It’s the small things that make them happy! :)
Oh, Kelly seeing this crib all put together with Ashlyn’s HUGE smile standing in front of it just gives me a little preview of just how much excitement is going on in your home!!! I cannot tell you how happy and excited I am for you, you have been waiting oh so long, and I have a feeling you are going to be in China sooner than you think, and that precious Lydia will be in your arms with her forever family soon!!!
