We were so happy today to see Lydia open up some more to us and give us some beautiful smiles. But, we are a bit worried now and need prayers. She vomited tonight and started burning up. We took her temp and it was 103.7. We gave her tylenol and started her on antibiotics. Her fever seems to be coming down–we just took it again and it was 102.6. Please pray that she is relatively well by morning. We called our adoption doctor at CHOP who said if she is still running a temperature tomorrow, she will need to be seen by a doctor. We do not want that to have to happen as we saw the local hospital today as we were going shopping, and it is not a place I want to go.
Dear Drew – Happy 4th birthday, big brother. We love you and can’t wait to see you in your new stormtrooper helmet and watch you play your new Indiana Jones Wii game. Big birthday hugs and kisses to you!

Like Lydia, Libby got very sick the day after we met her. We were very scared and didn’t know what to do. Luckily she felt better after about 24 hours. I’m praying the same happens for your Lydia. Thinking of you…

Kelly, I will certainly keep Lydia in prayer. Hope she’s feeling better soon. Often the change in food and the stress can make the little ones feel icky, so hopefully it’s just that and nothing more serious. Praying, for you; trust the Lord and lean on Him through this! Hugs!

Sending prayers that her fever goes down. Jake had a cold when we adopted him, but his fever never went that high.
BTW, what hotel are you staying at? We stayed in the Bell Tower Hotel.
Take care,

Oh Mark and Kelly – I will be praying for your precious Lydia’s health and for you both to comfort her in the ways that you both know how to. High fevers are so scary, and we do know that feeling from our very first night of parenting with Matthew and the fevers! I hope by this point the antibiotics have kicked in, and she is feeling better so you can stay away from the hospital. You have such a beautiful baby girl – her smile is contagious and you must melt every time you see it!

She is so sweet and looks like a “Raudenbush girl” already in her little outfit! Love it!!! How is she taking to diapers? Wishing you all the best!!!!! Love to you all!

Our Ella was the same way…i think it may been the whole SHOCK and a BUG for the kids. Ella burned up too and we did the bath, motrin and antibitics…..she improved a full 24 hours later! I think she had a respiratory infection or somthing!
Hugs again, it is not easy being in China with a SICK baby! been there!

A SMILE THAT LIGHTS UP the ROOM, the WORLD and everyone’s heart! wow! She’s precious Kelly and Mark!
So sad to hear she’s sick! Wow! I’m praying she’s well–seriously. We had to take Izabella to a clinic to get antibiotics for a horrible chest cold she had. It was actaully not bad–we went to the one that is literally next door to the Aruium international Hotel where we stayed. It was very clean, organized and the doctor was very nice. The only thing that frustrated us was that the doctor, talked and talked and we’d only get a few words from our guide…that was frustrating. But it sounds like you have a great guide.
I’m praying for you Lydia! She’s a fighter I’m sure she’ll come through after a good nights rest!
Love and God Bless you!
