The corn pudding is in the frig. The pumpkin pie will be ready by morning–that’s because it needs to thaw. I know. Sad. But, listen, BJs had mammoth ones for only $5. So, I succumbed and just bought one last week. And, then, I got to make what I really wanted to make today which was two pumpkin rolls…which flopped. I don’t know what I did. I’ve never had trouble with this recipe…except for today, of course, when I need to take it to Thanksgiving dinner and present to the fam. Right now, the cream cheese icing is barely holding it together. It may just end up spooned into glasses and eaten as parfait. Fine by me.
I also just printed out the 20 Bible verses I’m going to use for a bit of a Thanksgiving activity this year. Hope it goes over. I’m thinking I may face some resistance from some adults who may think that they are not into cheesy “God stuff.” Just because it involves pretty slips of paper with Bible verses and corn kernels in a pitcher doesn’t make it cheesy.
The kids bags are nearly all packed. Why does it take so long to pack 4 kids for one stinkin’ night away?
Let the chaos family time full of thankfulness begin.

Just getting ready to start my cooking…corn casserole and sweet potatoe casserole. YUMMERS! I am regretting a little bit staying up until 4 decorating the tree…but seeing her excited face this morning was totally worth it!
Happy Thanksgiving to my dear friend I’ve never met! ;)

Kelly, I’d love to hear how your Verses were recieved. Sometimes it’s so hard sharing our love of Christ with family during these amazing holidays! So glad you took this step of faith.
Cheers,
