14 days until we are in Disney…14 days from this minute, we likely will be arriving at Port Orleans Riverside and seeing our room for the first time (which means much jumping on beds and screaming and running around in circles in a small space).
Today, Mickey dropped off a package by our front door. Really, he did. There was a book about the Magic Kingdom in it and Mickey pirate shirts to wear on our first day when we do the Pirate’s League. We don’t do Santa, but apparently we do Mickey.
(You may notice that Ashlyn’s hair does not need any special styling to be ready to look like a pirate.)
And, the mailman brought our custom maps today with all the rides we want to do highlighted (just about all the rides, really).
Ashlyn enjoyed marking our hotel (with much more civilized hair).
If I wasn’t excited already…who am I kidding? I was. But, now, I really am.
We will be there in 7 days, and we are staying at the Port Orleans too!!! Except, I think the French Quarter one. So very excited–for both of us!!! We will try not to trash the place too much so you can enjoy it as well! Have fun!

We would like to go back in 2012 and actually stay in the park this time. We rented a house outside the park about 20 minutes away…saved us a ton of money, but we definitely want to have tho whole Disney experience next time. Is Port Orleans where you usually stay?

Oh, Ashlyn……your hair looks like mine does in the morning! That made me smile! :) Kelly….can you do my hair in the mornings too? ;) Someday when I’m rich, I’ll have a hair stylist (actually, that’s not true….but I can wish I would do that if I were rich!).
I’m just so, so excited for you all…..we’ve done Disney and liked it so much the first year, we went back the next year (ok, Grandpa paid for us to go back the next year, but we SO wanted to go back anyway!).
Port Orleans is one of our favorite resorts! I hope you have a great time. We have decided not to go this year, but I’m secretly hoping for a reason to stop at Hong Kong Disney before we leave for home. I would love to take our two littles! :-)
