So, it’s not anything close to Red Thread Stitches, but I’m pretty darn proud of myself.
I have a really cool vintage Disney pillowcase I wanted to make into a tunic top for Ashlyn. But, I didn’t want to ruin it with my first attempt at it. So, I made this yesterday out of an old tank top we had and some old Raggedy Ann and Andy sheets from when I was little. I’m so happy with how it turned out. It’s super cute. And, I loved it with the red striped socks and red Mary Janes today.
There is something so rewarding about turning nothing into something, you know? And, there is something so rewarding about having a finished product to my efforts. So much of what I do doesn’t have any sort of finished product–“mom stuff” typically doesn’t.
I could get into this.
Kelly, I didn’t know that you sow! I am impressed! Turned out great! Very cute!
Kelly it looks great!!!

I HAD THE SAME SHEETS GROWING UP! Wow! That is a blast from the past! It turned out GREAT, Kelly!
You are right! So cute! I look forward to seeing the vintage Disney; I love Disney!
Super cute! You better be careful – I hear it is addicting (that RUSH you get from realizing that your hands can actually CREATE stuff!!) lol…Love it, Mama and Ashlyn is a cutie patootie model!
Very cool job! Isn’t it cool to know that feeling of creating something … just think how God felt after each of His days of Creation! Just steppin’ back and saying, “It was good … very good!”
Sweet Kelly! And something about doing something “Meaningful”. Very special Kelly…and oh yeah..gorgeous model/daughter.
Well, now I know why you hold onto everything! Great job! Wish I could sew, but I am really handy with a hot glue gun…
You should be proud of yourself. Super cool
Kelly…wow! It turned out adorable…love the idea of what you have done…very clever! Your daughter is beautiful! :)

Great job, Kelly…it’s adorable! And who doesn’t just love some vintage Raggedy Ann & Andy!?! :)
I know what you mean about creative things… designing and anything artsy or artistic is in my blood… so once I get started, it’s hard to stop!
Yep, I could see a market for that… especially with some cute striped tights (they’re out in stores for the holidays now!) and maryjanes like you did in the pics! CUTE!!!
Just adorable!!! And the dress is pretty stinkin’ cute too!
