All prayers about school today….We have today and tomorrow and the weekend, then school starts on Monday. (sigh)
- Pray for Evan. Changes aren’t easy for him. Transitioning back to school will be hard for him. And, not only will he have a new general education teacher, he will have a new learning support teacher this year too. Pray that he has peace about all of that and feels God’s presence with him on the first day of school.
- Pray for Ashlyn. She’s going to a new school this year since she’s starting 1st grade. We go today for orientation and meeting her teacher. Pray that she connects well socially from the get go and finds some girls she can hang with. Pray that she lives out God’s love to the other kids.
- Pray for me as I have to let the kids go again. It’s always a bit emotional for me as school starts up again. Pray that I would feel encouraged about our time together over the summer and that He would assure me that He has our precious children in His hands.

I’ll pray for you – can you pray for me too? … I have the same types of requests. New school for Audrey (She does not verbalize her anxieties but they come out in her behavior. I know she will be fine once the routine begins but the first month is always a readjustment for all of us). And Carter is starting preschool too in a few weeks. Thanks for the reminder that our kids are in God’s hands!
Praying for you and your children in this season of change. My 7 year old daughter had a very rough first day of second grade yesterday (her teacher has been teaching for years and is a yeller) and now she has a horrible outlook on the school year. Please pray for her! My eldest, Dylan, also had a hard first day with a new principal who thinks she is a dictator so please pray for him. Thankfully my 3rd grade foster daughter and my fourth grader had good days ;) Oh and btw, congrats on winning the giveaway yesterday!
Praying for you and the kids today. Totally feel your concerns about the kiddos starting school. I took Kaitlyn to orientation today and I know she was disappointed that only one kid from her kindergarten class is in her first grade class. It was a girl she is friendly with, so that was good, and a couple of girls from her Daisy troop are in there too. She will be fine. She’s been sick and I was worried she’d miss it. She was ok earlier but now her fever is creeping up again. I always get nervous for both of them starting school, so say a prayer for me too…and for Kaitlyn to get better soon!

I’m going to add a little prayer for you, Mommy, that you feel really comfortable and encouraged in meeting your children’s teachers and that in turn you will feel peace in sending your kids off each morning.
