Jumped in the pool fully clothed with a bag of teddy grahams in my hand and my car key remote attached to my belt loop to save a little girl; got to experience a waiting family being matched with the child they have been waiting a very long time for; made lunch and dinner and caught up with laundry; and mowed the lawn for the first time ever.
Just another day in the life of a mama.
what’s not to love?
so glad you were there in that pool. mushy teddy grahams and all….a family somewhere has their little girl tonight…..
Good job Mama Kelly!…I had to pull my little one out of the water yesterday too. She went from too scared to let go of my hands one day, to swimming by herself-literally the next day (following the big kids in.) Lucky for me, I still had my suit (and towel) on so no keys were hurt in the process. Mia’s response, “Mama, I put my face in.” Yes, you sure did.
SUPER Mama!!! :) Where is your cape?
Go Lifeguard Kelly! Life is NEVER boring, enjoying the journey of motherhood :)
Okay, so you totally need to give more details on why you had to jump in the pool!
Is that all you did? ;) Wowie zowie. You go, girl! You make me look like I never got out of bed today…and I’m headin’ to China in 2 days!
Now time to relax with some chocolate! Well deserved!
Kim
I can’t figure out which is more amazing- that you saved a kid from the pool or that you have made it this far in life without ever mowing a lawn.
You go girl!
Those 2 instructors got pulled out and got a talking to during Kaityln’s class. I’m surprised the lifeguard didn’t see it either. Your a hero! I mow the lawn sometimes when I know Norm as a lot of other stuff to do. It’s not so bad, if it is not 100 degrees!
I agree with everyone’s comments about Wow, you saved a little girl in the pool! I am thankful you were so selfless!
But I really gotta say “Your first time mowing the grass?!?!?! You’ve got to be joking!”
I wanna hear more about that pool incident. I could tell u about the time Eric and another friend of ours jumped in when they saw ally looking up at them from the bottom of the pool! The lifeguards were fired the next day!! They sat on the rears and literally did not even stand up to see what the commotion or frantically yelling mother was about!
You rock, sista! Look at you — jack of all trades. I think it’s time to grab yourself a cookie after all that activity!
(P.S. Yes, Miss A’s hair is a bit prickly, but we think it’s feeling softer by the day and couldn’t be more thrilled. :))
Wow! You sure do have an exciting life!!! Your post put a smile on my face as I read it!!!
Tricia
I cannot imagine you mowing the lawn!!!!!!! Hope Mark was appreciative!!! Next you’ll be changing the oil in your car! I was assuming you jumped in to save one of your own little girls, no???Love and miss you guys!!!
WOW…..what a day! Can’t believe you had time to mow the grass after all that! ;)
