Took the fam (including Grammy) to Longwood Gardens last night to explore the grounds and then rock it out at a Justin Roberts concert. If you don’t know him, you gotta check his music out. I…I mean, the kids are big fans. That’s what’s totally cool about his music–kids music that I really enjoy listening to. Who wouldn’t smile at a song called “Meltdown” that ends with the phrase, “I’ll stop the world and meltdown with you.” Kids don’t get it. But, they like it anyway. And, I crack up at his creative lyrics. We even got to meet him afterwards. Ashlyn had him sign her map of the gardens. And, I got to suggest a topic for a new song–snow days. He liked the suggestion. Cool. Oh yeah, I got his autograph too.
We *heart* Justin Roberts too!!!! What a blast!! Wish we could have been there!
Do you listen to Ralph’s World or Brady Rymer at all? They are two of our other kids favorites that don’t make me want to puncture my ear drums!!! :)
