at least when it comes to accessories. My mom came up on Tuesday to make an awesome Halloween costume for Ashlyn. Essentially, she made all her Halloween costume dreams come true–she’s going to be the cutest little pirate princess you ever did see (can’t post pictures until Halloween time…sorry). Anyway, so this is more about Drew…when we took pictures of Ashlyn in her new costume, Drew had to stand by her side with his “nana” (blanket that he takes EVERYWHERE), “boo” (his pirate gun he also takes EVERYWHERE–wish he got attached to a less weaponish toy), and a pirate hat he dug out of the dress up bin. So, since then, the pirate hat has not left his head. It’s cute…yet totally annoying because he keeps fussing that it’s messed up or turned the wrong way or falling off or something. The boy won’t even sit back in the stroller for fear of it being knocked off. He cried in the bath since I made him take it off to wash his hair. I mean, come on now. He’s insanely committed to odd things. Nana has been around since he was an infant. Boo somehow became an item in maybe May. I’m hoping this pirate hat doesn’t last. Maybe I should try to steal it tonight and hide it somewhere. If I did, I’d literally have to take it from his head. Check out the picture I took while he napped today.

Man, he’s CUTE! I love his little hand resting on his sweet face. Ah, the sleeping child. Nothing cuter!

That’s soo funny. Nathan finally gave up his crusty Mickey Mouse that he used to take everywhere….well, he sort-of gave it up (forced). We got him a new one since The real Mickey Mouse signed his old one and we don’t want to keep washing it anymore. Well, the new one is not as soft and floppy as the old one so he just doesn’t like to sleep with it. Occasionally I catch him sleeping with the old one we display on his bedroom shelf now.
